ONE CLUB Classic
A glow-in-the-dark night golf event
The One Club Classic is one of our signature fundraising events, a “golf tournament with a twist,” to raise money for Foundation for Blind Children. The tournament is played at night using glow in the dark balls, and each player is allowed just one club to navigate the course. This is a golf-inspired fundraiser that is fun and inclusive of all, from the avid golfer to the casual putt-putt golfer.

This year was a HUGE success raising over $50,000 for the Foundation for Blind Children. YVB is much closer to our goal of covering all early intervention care in the State of Arizona because of supporters like you! So what will $50,000 do? It will provide Early Intervention services for over 100 babies and their families!
One of the most important services the Foundation for Blind provides is Early Intervention. From infancy, the blind or low vision child and their family need early professional services which focus on how the child learns about the world, how parents understand and help with that learning, the impact of loss of vision on early development, and how parents feel about having a child with a disability. Research has estimated that up to 90% of what every child learns in the first three years of life is learned visually, primarily through imitation. Vision is the sense that allows us to integrate all of the things we learn about the world. Without normal vision, the child must learn to “see” and understand the world in new ways.

100% of proceeds from the One Club Classic are donated directly to the Foundation for Blind Children. The money raised at the last One Club Classic event paid for Early Intervention Services for 100 babies and their families across the state of Arizona. From infancy, the blind or low vision child and their family need early professional services — focusing on how the child learns about the world, how parents understand and help with that learning, and the impact of loss of vision on early development.
